PACER is making a change to their password minimum criteria and requiring 180 day password rotation. This change may affect you as soon as Monday, August 25th.

  1. Locate the credentials you use to access your BankruptcyWatch account.
  2. Determine which of your PACER accounts is connected to BankruptcyWatch.
  3. Visit PACER.gov and navigate to login to “Manage My Account”
  4. Click the link to “Change Password” and proceed to change your password. Don't set MFA until you have finished all of these steps.
  5. Note: As soon as you do this step, you will not be able to access live PACER info via BankruptcyWatch until you register the new password with our system.

6. Reference our technical documentation for the UpdatePacerAccount operation to update your PACER password.

For those of you who connect with us through an integration partner or need a less technical way of resolving this, we are working to provide a user-friendly way to manage and maintain the PACER account(s) you have registered with our system. Instructions for that should be sent sometime on Monday or Tuesday.

We are standing by if you need immediate help. If you find yourself unable to pull live PACER data through our system and you can’t easily resolve the credentials issue, please don’t hesitate to reach out and we'll walk you through the process:
